WElcome to Second Echo Ensemble
We create and produce interdisciplinary art and live performance, inviting audiences to challenge preconceived notions of ability.

WE CELEBRATE DIVERSITY
We are a curiosity-driven ensemble that values and grows creative relationships, unique perspectives, and collaboratively devised performances.

WE CHALLENGE ASSUMPTIONS
Our mission is to create and present exceptional performance that challenges assumptions, shakes up stereotypes, and gives voice to untold stories.

WE MAKE THINGS HAPPEN
We don't make a performance about having a disability or not having a disability. We do work about life, its surroundings, its imaginings, its rhythms, its anger, and its celebrations.
SIDNEY MYER PERFORMING ARTS AWARD
Since 1984, the Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards have celebrated excellence in the performing arts and provided direct financial support to artists and companies across Australia.
For the 2020-21 awards, celebrating the nation's creative leaders was more important than ever. "The pandemic has been devastating for artists and everyone working in arts and culture in Australia," says Andrew Myer AM, Chairman of Sidney Myer Fund.

LET ME DRY YOUR EYES
Presented by Second Echo Ensemble and MONA FOMA 2021.
Live music and dance at the old Beaumaris Zoo in Hobart's Domain, Second Echo Ensemble’s outdoor performance tells the watery tale of a bird and a whale with movement, telescopes and underwater noise, including a drummer in an aquarium.
