20th Anniversary Season

WE LIVE IN A WORLD ON FIRE

It can sometimes seem that we are staring into the abyss. But in this time of turmoil, the artists of Second Echo Ensemble [SEE] feel the urgent drive to create anew, addressing the experience of living now – and the necessity of poetry, resilience and humour.

This hunger to gather, play and bring to life has led to the creation of a series of remarkable new SEE works that will meet audiences across our 20th anniversary season in 2025.

  • Relâche: The Last Dance on Earth

    27-28 FEBRUARY 2025, ODEON THEATRE, NIPALUNA/HOBART

  • The Adventures of Peacock, Chicken and the Pony They Rode Upon

26-30 SEPTEMBER 2025, THEATRE ROYAL HOBART

An intergalactic adventure where a Chicken keeps trying to cross the road, a Peacock searches for their tail and a Pony, weary of its burdens, gallops around the rings of Saturn.

  • On Display Global

3-4 DECEMBER 2025, THE UNITED NATIONS, NEW YORK CITY, USA

A public art installation and human sculpture court that challenges traditional perceptions of beauty, disability, and the body.

MARKING TWO DECADES OF RADICAL EQUITY AND DISABILITY-LED CREATIVITY

This milestone season will feature innovative new works that celebrate the unique voices and stories that have defined our journey.

The work will continue challenging perceptions, inspiring audiences, and fostering inclusion through powerful, boundary-pushing art.

SEE HARNESSING ART AND CULTURE

SEE continues to build strong communities, generate jobs, reimagine places and build innovative cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Through our programs, presentation partners and advocacy, SEE is demonstrating that diverse regional arts are valued in Tasmania, and also right across the country.
