STUDIO, THEATRE ROYAL HOBART

Join three unlikely companions on an intergalactic adventure like no other - a chicken determined to cross the road, a peacock searching for its tail, and a pony tired of its burdens. Along the way, they confront stereotypes, loneliness, and power dynamics, learning to embrace their individuality.

This vibrant production, filled with humour, adventure, and discovery, invites children and families into a magical world with plenty of heart.

The Adventures of Peacock, Chicken and the Pony they Rode Upon features original songs, puppetry, and spellbinding animations. The talented cast is led by Second Echo Ensemble (SEE) artist Dave Montgomery and includes 2024 Archibald nominated visual artist Digby Webster and local songstress Nicole Farrow.

Developed in collaboration with the Midnight Feast (NSW), this new work by Tasmanian company SEE premieres at the Sydney Opera House before heading home to its only Tasmanian season.

Please note, all shows of The Adventures of Peacock, Chicken and the Pony they Rode Upon will be Relaxed Performances.
