Goodbye 2021
Are We There Yet?
I hope you are getting closer to what feels like one of the busiest ends of the year ever! With that in mind l’ll keep things short. I want to let you know that I think you are great and THANK YOU for being a part of the Second Echo community. People like you make the art happen.
SEE will be closed from 17 December 2021 until 17 January 2022. We will be offline enjoying a screen free summer. We hope you too have a great break – whatever that means to you – home, beach, doing nothing, catching up with friends/family. We wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday season.
While we may be finishing up for the year, there’s plenty on the horizon for SEE in the new year…
A New Home
After 2 wonderful years at the long.house we are growing up and moving into a place of our own.
A safe space to create, gather and belong. Doors will open in February for everyone to dance on through.
OUTSIDE Boy tours Tasmania
A place where fans cease to turn and autumn leaves forget to fall.
SEE will be on the road to Triabunna, Southport, Bruny Island, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie.
Stay tuned and get tickets early – this wonderful new work directed by Charlie Smith is sure to be a sell out.
Community Workshop
Bryony Geeves will be leading Term One of our Community Workshop program. You will build, puppeteer and perform with kites. You know you need to be a part of that.
Tuesdays
4.00-5.30pm
Starting February 15
The BEAUTY Project
Elise Romaszko and the Beauty Project crew have had a great 2021 full of research including installations at Salamanca Market, spots on ABC radio and a Wheeler Centre mentorship.
Look our for workshops, installations and ways to get on the catwalk in 2022.
Still on the hunt?
Do you have one of those impossible people to find a gift for? How about a 2022 SEE membership? All they need to come along and try a SEE Community workshop, receive our e-news and access to early release tickets to our events.
That’s a wrap 2021!
Stay safe, be kind and
SEE you in 2022.
cheers,
kdc
